Abstract Guidelines

Abstract submissions for poster presentations should be submitted by Friday, May 5. Abstracts should be submitted to organicretreat2023@mit.edu. Submitted abstracts must be either *.txt, *.doc, *.docx, or *.pdf file format and contain the following:

• Title
• Speaker name/author(s)
• Abstract (250 word maximum)

We welcome the submission of black and white abstract images, which should be no larger than 3.25" x 1.75" (width x height). These images must be submitted separately through the registration form in *.tif format with a resolution of 1200 dpi. Abstract images are optional and will be included in the event booklet (printed and published online). To maintain font continuity, we strongly recommend using a san serif font type, preferrably at 8 pt. Please see additional recommended abstract guidelines provided by ACS Publications here.

Poster Guidelines

Research posters should be 48" x 36" in dimension (width x height) and landscape in format.

Research Talk Guidelines

Research talks should be approximately 20 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes allocated for questions. Slides should have a standard aspect ratio of 4:3.
