Event Policies

The Organic Retreat Event Policies are based on MIT Policies & Procedures as well asĀ ACS National Conference Policies.

Recording Policy

The use of any cameras, phones, recorders, or other devices to share images or sound from the Organic Retreat presentations is prohibited.

Dress Code

The dress code for the event is business casual.

Attendee Conduct Policy

The Organic Retreat is intended to be a positive and inclusive environment for attendees and speakers. Organic Retreat participants are expected to treat all colleagues with professionalism and respect. Any verbal and physical harassment or inappropriate actions based on race, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, marital status, political affiliation, disabilities, or educational background will not be tolerated. Attendees should avoid offensive language, insults, and other disruptive behavior.

All MIT Policies & Procedures apply to the Organic Retreat, particularly the personal conduct policies outlined in Section 9 on discrimination, racist conduct, and harassment.

Attendees must obey all applicable laws and regulations of the State of Massachusetts and the City of Cambridge while attending the Organic Retreat.

Violations of the Conduct Policy should be reported immediately to the Organic Retreat Committee. If the Conduct Policy is violated, the Committee will review and take appropriate actions, which include and are not limited to requesting attendees leave the premises and precluding meeting attendees from attending future retreat events.
